When Denver folks get a hankering for some fluffy eggs or savory pancakes, even the long lines can't keep them away. The "Original" Pancake House opened in Portland in the '50s and lucky Denverites are the recipients of multiple transplants of the tasty chain. The key to the success is in the array of ultra-fine ingredients such as the 93 score butter, pure whipping cream and a bevy of other natural ingredients. The infamous apple pancake, a single pancake loaded with cinnamon apples and baked to crispy perfection, is the restaurant's trademark. The omelettes are fluffy and light, baked and served with pancakes. The crepes are served three to a plate and are infused with tangy fruits and syrups. For a different breakfast twist, try the "Joe," a medley of ground special recipe sausage, Spanish onion and fresh spinach scrambled with farm fresh eggs and then served with buttermilk pancakes. Expect long lines to get in on weekends and remember that these creations take time to prepare.

I am from Philly and everytime I come to Denver I must eat here. They have the fluffiest omlets and the largest pancakes that I have ever eaten. the resturant is always clean and the service is top notch.

There is no better breakfast place in town. Pancakes are delicious. Omelettes are awesome. I don't even mind waiting to get in.

I love the OPH on Belleview as well. Their Swedish Pancakes are superb. The coffee is hot and yummy and they keep your cup full. The wait staff is outstanding. I have brought several guests here and no one leaves disappointed. It is more pricey than the Village Inn; however, you get what you pay for at OPH. You can always leave with a doggie bag. I eat here 3 times a week. I can't get enough. It is well worth the wait when there is a wait time.
