Pull up a chair at Dink's, one of Chagrin Falls' oldest and most-beloved eateries, and it's hard to imagine that somewhere, people actually dine on fancy stuff like tuna tartare, beef carpaccio or duck confit. No, inside this homey little shoebox of a dining room, beneath the light of the faux Colonial brass chandeliers and the watchful eyes of the friendly staff, it's all about old-fashioned American favorites like veal patties, chicken livers and tuna-salad sandwiches, savored in a space as neat and unassuming as a lady's hanky. Not surprisingly, Saturday and Sunday mornings seem especially Rockwellian, as the town's old-timers can be observed rubbing elbows with a whole new generation of Dink devotees, bonding over breakfast with stacks of tender blueberry pancakes, fluffy omelettes and crisp-edged homefries washed down by mugs of joe. Then, it doesn't seem hard to believe that Dink's will be serving the Cleveland area for another 50 years, and that somehow, we all will be better off because of it. - Brad Albing.

Best Burgers Anywhere
Not the largest, but Dinks has the juciest most delicious hamburgers I
have ever eaten-since I was a child. I'm now 65. Close second, a now
defunct local chain called Mawby's. Fresh meat with grilled onions at
Dinks---yum!Comments(0)|Add CommentWalk down the street another 100 ft. to Yours Truly.
The best is Yours Truly. I dont why Dinks is even on the list. I live in Scottsdale now but every summer I have to have the killet skillet at Yours Truly. It is outstanding, and the restaurant is the best breakfast in Cleveland, Ohio. Dinks is ok but up until the smoking laws were changed, they allowed smoking everywhere in the place. I thought I was in W. Virginia or some back hills place. Absolutely disgusting.
Excellent
Been going since I was a kid. Live in FL now, but never miss Dink's when I'm in town. True, portions are small..solution...double down. Especially on the cheeseburger with grilled onions..the best.
I can't see what people like about this place.
It is small and cramped and you feel like you are sitting in someone's lap. Hard as I have tried, I have never been able to figure out why people like it.
Great place to eat!
As a loyal customer and former employee, I have enjoyed Dinks food for since I was 16. I worked there on and off for several years, my younger sister also worked there, and I want to thank the owners for installing in me the strong work ethic I have today. Some reviewers here may say the employee turnover is high - true, as it is throughout the food service industry. However, these reviewers do not account for the dozens of former emloyees that still visit Dinks to this day and recall their times there with great fondness. It truly is something in this day and age to go back to a place where they still really do know your name. You also can't beat the prices and the food - especially the breakfast and burgers with grilled onions - is delicious.
