This family-run Greek diner started serving in 1947. More than five decades later, it's still here. In a city of constant change, the Koutsokalis family's neighborhood eatery provides a welcome stability. Yes, the venue did close for over a year and relocated, nothing's changed but the address. Greystone breakfast items still rarely top six bucks in price, but the long slices of country ham, sausage, pork chops, biscuits and gravy and ribeye steak combined with eggs, however you like them, will satisfy the largest appetites. Lunch items include oven-baked subs with a side of crispy fries, each as thick as your finger. Dinner entrees are beloved family-diner fare like beef tips, steaks, veal cutlets and chopped sirloin. Specials (three or four each day) change daily. Greystone is a chatty place full of regulars, including more than a few who have happily dined here for more than fifty years. -- Jennifer Saylor

Wonderful memories
In the early '80's I lived just two blocks from Greystone. I was a teen then and can remember well, my mom waking me early in the morning (quite often) saying "Want to go to Greystone with me?" I would be up in a flash, dressed and ready to go. We loved Greystone restaurant. My favorite for dinner was the lasagna. Also the employees there were so friendly. I can remember many times the owner coming to our table and talking with us. Great people, great food!! I miss it so....

Sedgefield's Best
I just recently moved into the Sedgefield area and was told to try out Greystone Restaurant. I tried to stop by before work one morning, but it was so busy I didn't have time to wait. Ever since, I have become addicted to the atmosphere and food. Even when I don't eat in, I take food to-go. Greystone is my new favorite!! Everyone should try it out!
