Whether you view Old Dominion Brewing Co. as a smoke-free, clean after-work spot or a somewhat sterile, strip-mall approach to breweries isn't really important. After all, it's the beer -- not the social scene -- that counts for those who frequent this open-early, close-early pub.

Nestled in an out-of-the-way business district in Ashburn, the bar is often crowded with tie- loosened, happy hour patrons who work in the area. Inexpensive ribeye steaks, hummus platters, ginger-soy glazed catfish and Dominion Lager chili prove ample accompaniment to the robust beers on tap.
