The Dubliner Irish Pub provides a taste of the Emerald Isle, but not the Ireland of James Joyce, factory grit and overcast skies. It's Ireland if the country slid down to the Caribbean and had perennial sunshine. Floridian grub and a variety of music styles -- not just the Pogues and Flogging Molly -- pervade the Dubliner. On tap are the favorites -- Guinness and Harp, which are fresh and hearty (no dirty spouts here). Hungry? Try some stout wings, Southwestern Ireland Santa Fe rolls or Jamison-marinated chicken, that is, if you're up to your gills in authentically prepared fish 'n' chips or are tired of grazing on sumptuous Shephard's pies, both of which the Dubliner also offers.

The restaurant's most decadent appetizer, Irish Nachos, serves up a giant mound of cheese and meat drenched waffle fries in lieu of tortilla chips. Frequented by 20s-to-30-somethings and Hyde Park locals, the indoor-outdoor bar/restaurant occupies a Cape Cod-style house with outdoor and indoor bars, darts and pool tables. The bartenders are talkative, not intrusive, and the servers are swift and efficient. Draught stouts and ales are moderately priced and shouldn't cost more green than any other UK-inspired establishment in Tampa.

In answer to the lad about the lack of liquor in the Pub, you must be kidding. Only the finest of irish pubs can offer you the best of all irish brews and ciders. Make it a point to come by on St Patty's day and experience an authentic irish celebration the "irish way" with dancers, pipers, bands and specials. You won't be disappointed and will surely make this an annual tradition in Tampa.

Ah great, an Irish pub with no Irish wiskey. As a matter of fact, there is no liquor in the place at all. No liquor. i repeat, an IRISH bar with no liquor. Only in america, hope of the ignorant. i brought some cousins here from overseas and they, well, just kinda laughed

Super atmosphere where you always feel welcome and usually meet someone for lively discussions. Friendly staff, good food and the feel of an Irish country pub.

  • feels like Dublin whenever you step onto that fantastic outside beer pub deck

Been a customer there since opening day and clientele are the same...which makes going to your neighborhood pub even more enjoyable. Best food in Hyde Park, both traditional irish and specials. Has best irish beer selections with weekly specials and great outdoor entertainment. MacDinton's, Green Fields and the other irish pubs can't come close to the special feel you get whenever you enter THE PUB. Special feature to this pub....they've got their own parking lot across the street from their front door....can't beat that in SOHO!

I have been a fan & customer of ‘The Dub’ going on 4+ years now and really enjoy the people, the atmosphere and the neighborhood. This is one of those places where even if you don’t your fellow patron’s name, you’ve seen them here often enough that you always get a nod and a smile when you walk in the door! The staff are great people, many of whom have been with The Dubliner for years and who are part of the family. They know you, you know them and they are genuinely glad to see you and pour you a pint or three! Nothing beats a Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter afternoon/evening sitting on the deck under the trees enjoying a well poured pint with friends and colleagues! Always something going on at The Dub, with good music and lively conversation! While the food is not the best you will ever eat, it is served fresh and with a smile! Long live the Dub!
