With all the bright and shiny chrome bar stools and tabletops, you'd think Tin Can Tavern and Grille is aptly named. But there's another reason for the moniker. The main attraction is its tribute to an all-American favorite: the canned beer. Tin Can offers more than 50 canned beers ranging from college favorites like Miller High Life to the tasty Young's double chocolate. Tin Can even supplies you with the can's must-have-accessory: a logoed koozie for a small nominal price. The red and black color scheme emphasizes Tin Can's Southern flair, and the menu clearly indicates a Southern flavor. Specialties like the popcorn on the cob, bottom dweller (fried catfish), fried bologna and the blue plate specials are just like how you would them find in New Orleans: well-spiced and oh-so-bad-but-oh-so-good for you. The best part of Tin Can is that the prices are rock-bottom. During its happy hours, Monday through Friday 3-6PM, rail drinks, domestic bottles of beer are only $1.50, and to really get your night started, shots and martinis are only $2. Getting the munchies during that time? Stop by for $2 hush puppies, popcorn of the cob or seasoned fries. Then sit back with your koozie, put your feet up and watch some TV on one of the large screens, or surf the net with the free WIFI.

At first glance when walking into the Tin Can, one notices all the old beer cans and coozies all over the place. This is a mighty bar that boasts st louis's premier beer list and it also has tasty and well priced comfort food. Try the Mac n Cheese, delicious...if you can get there on Sundays, you gotta try breakfest, and maybe an eye opener! Whether your wanting a $1.75 Natty or Youngs Double Chocolate stout, to the ever popular 40oz Olde E, the Tin Can is worth finding. Don't worry, no standing, and smokers will not be persecuted.
