A beer institution that finds homes in places like Nashville, Fort Worth and Little Rock, The Flying Saucer is every beermeister's friend. Suppliers from all over the world have this place on its purchaser's list, including places as far off as Antwerp, Belgium but also as near as Blanco, Texas. The bar's stockpile includes more than 81 brews on tap and 140 in the bottle, with new arrivals added regularly (just check the blackboard) while a limited snack menu offers up burgers, salads and bratwurst.

The crowd can be as diverse as the beer that's served here, but young professionals overtake in the evenings. Perhaps it's the free wireless Internet connections. Most nights offer some kind of special, like $2 Mystery Beer, Pint Night or 'Thank God Your In Texas,' and it would be wise to take full advantage of these offerings. You're apt to become a regular at The Saucer even though regular beer prices can be somewhat steep.

Huge variety of beer! Beer specials, good food, nice ambiance, clean, neat, and plenty of eye candy! Great place to get abducted!

Having been a bartender, and a waitress I do know things can put you in the weeds and you can get behind. BUT even if there is a few people there, and lots of wait staff you wont get your beer without a wait. Best place to sit is at the bar.

The Flying Saucer has some of the best beer selection in all of San Antonio, bar none. And then the food served there is really top notch. Combine that with cute waitresses serving beers in short skirts and knee high argyle socks, and you've pretty much got everything you need in a bar. Be forewarned though, they serve beer and wine only -- no hard liquors. Also no Bud products (which is not necessarily a bad thing). For a real challenge, join in the UFO Club and try 200 different beers to get your name on the Ring Of Honor.
