It's not a stretch for folks to think that a place called Fat Head's won't serve the healthiest grub around. But my, oh my: The burgers sure are tasty. Arguably some of the best in the 'Burgh, they comprise about 35 varieties, including the Artery Clogger, which consists of two fried eggs, ham, bacon and American cheese; and the equally meaty Rocky Mountain High (roasted pork, turkey, salami and Swiss chesse). Wings are also a real crowd-pleaser -- you'll be hard-pressed to find a seat on Monday nights, when they serve them up for 40 cents apiece. Located in the middle of South Side's East Carson Street, the saloon can get pretty crowded. Your best bet is to come sometime between the lunch rush and the evenings, when the partiers convene in packs and the college crowd rules. If you're looking for brews to go with that burger, the selection here is quite decent. Choose from about 40 imported and American craft beers on tap, including a specially brewed Rogue Fat Head's Ale from Oregon.

I go to Fathead every time I go to the burgh, great beer list with 36 on tap and over 100 bottles. The menu is so bad for you but soooooo good. Pedros Nachos are a fav of mine, and the artery clogger, wings are ok too. This place is always packed I have been in there on sunday's monday's and a few other week days and its always packed. Great atmosphere. I tell everyone to go to fatheads and not too many people dont like it. I own like 4 shirts and a hat from them, so I am a huge fan.
