The industrial park surrounds of this hops lovers outpost off South Orange Avenue hardly conjures images of nightlife grandeur. But for the beer connoisseurs who venture to Orlando Brewing Partners, microbrews fermented onsite are the lure.

The corrugated iron building resembles an airplane hangar more than anything else, but there's a small bar (they call it the tap room) at the front where you can sit to sample five of the eight beers made in house. Fans of porter should ask for the Blackwater Ale, and there's a good blonde ale, too, for lightweight beer lovers. The brewery is the only organic brewer in the state, and among the more than 15 specialty brews on tap are Abita, Anchor Steam and Harpoon IPA. If you volunteer to help with suds fabrication you'll receive your own etched mug for your efforts, refillable with your choice of libation. --Terry Ward

    This is a great place if you love microbrews. The beer they brew is great but a little weighted towards lighter colored beers. If you like darker beers like me the Olde Pelican ale and the Blackwater Porter are amazing beers, especially if you take into account they are brewed right in house. If you are into lighter beer try the Blonde and the Pale Ale (the Mild isnt' great). Other than the beer the greatest things about this place is that the tap girls are nice and you can bring your own food to enjoy with the brew.

    The worst part about this place is that they need have a bigger bar. During peak times the bar seating is inadequate.

    Orlando Brewing is a real brewery located in an industrial area near down town Orlando. Don’t let that deter you from enjoying the fresh Organic beer on tap in the taproom. This local brewery makes 9 or more beers and even has other impossible to fined on tap, beer that us beer nerds love. The guys at Orlando Brewing know how to do it right. They have live local music and NO TV’s to distract your enjoyment of your friends’ conversation. O’ yes, the Orlando Brewing beers on tap are the best I have ever tasted. I especially liked their Pale Ale and Old Pelican. Do not miss this wonderful place, and if you’re lucky, to live in Orlando you should visit every day!
