Everything old may be new again, but it sure doesn't look old. Ask those within shouting distance of Shoreline Drive or the newly renovated Pike and they'll agree, especially if they're kicking back in Long Beach's cavernous Yard House and sampling any one of over 200 beers on tap. Or relaxing outdoor with said beer watching the ships go sailing by in a Long Beach night punctuated, in true LBC fashion, by a jukebox blasting the finest of classic rock, as the hustle of an explosively popular local phenom buzzes around them. The diehards, of course, drink their chosen brews out of a 36-inch tall glasses -- that's why it's called the Yard House, you see -- while the rest munch on a savory meal like the Cuban BBQ pork sandwich or sumptuous swordfish taken out of a fusion cuisine menu almost as long as the Bible itself. But no matter why you come to the Yard House, know that you are not alone: The LBC hotspot is spreading throughout several locations in California and is now looking to conquer Arizona next.

  • When it comes to the beer...Poor!

Great food, nice place, lots of beer on tap, but too bad they serve them way to warm! The taps are not cold at all and I hate that about the Yard House with as many good points that it has.

  • Great beer, great ambiance

I opened this restaurant, (they had a room called The Chop Room, for fine dining.....the room has been changed to be more like the rest of the place). Other than the owner being a major dim-wit, the restaurant itself is wonderful, food is great, drinks are kick-ass! Great view of the harbour. It makes me miss SoCal!

This place is incredible!!!! Food is moderately priced, they have two bars open on Friday and Saturday nights. There's the Harbor Room which serves cocktails only. Then there's the Tap rppm, which is the main bar, it serves 174 different flavors of beer on 250 taps!!! On Friday's and Saturday's they don't close until 2AM and Sun-Thurs. they close at 12AM. Great atmosphere, food, service, etc. Best place ever!!!!!!
