Still going strong now for over 20 years as a local eatery heavyweight on cozy Naples Island in Long Beach, this fine purveyor of quality ribs, steaks and fish has been keeping locals and tourists busy with the napkins. After all, ribs, especially good ones, are messy if blissful ordeals, and Naples serves them up daily to a loyal local populace that keeps coming back for more. Long Beach businesspeople have been known to cater their meetings and ceremonies with Naples Rib, and some have even scored days off for the effort. Local legends aside, the restaurant has more or less everything an earnest carnivore could ask for, including, as they like to remind you more than once, the baddest baby back ribs in California.
Whether or not that is true is up to the individual gourmand to decide, but if the ribs don't do the trick, try the new marinated tri-tip steaks or the time-tested swordfish to seal the deal. The price is manageable, and the eatery is flexible. They even have a take-home BBQ setup that can turn you into a cooking legend in your own backyard. Plus, the Naples puts its time and money where your mouth is: They've raised thousands for local charities and host everything from celebrity bartender and waiter nights to fundraisers and community discounts. What more could you ask for? Napkins maybe, but that's about it.

If I Could Rate It Lower, I Would!
Bizminded - 01/23/2009I had to give it a "1" because they don't allow me to rate it lower. The food is mediocre at best and horrendously overpriced. Because this coffee shop style restaurant has been in the neighborhood so long, these people are pompous. It's their way or the highway. If you don't like the way something is cooked "you can take it up with VISA." That quote is straigjht from the owner, Dave! Do yourself a favor and go to Lucille's just down the street. Their food is awesome, the prices are reasonable and it's a cool, fun place. Stay away from Naples Rib! They're on their way out as their reputation is getting around.

Gi1018 - 05/28/2008I have been going to Naples Rib Co. for 4 years now. I have introduced many of my friends to this amazing restaurant and they have all become regulars. The staff is extremely friendly and personable. They recognize us, know our orders, comp appetizers whenever they can, engage us in personal conversation all while getting our order to us quickly and correctly. There's something for everybody on the menu and everything is DELICIOUS! Try the BBQ Prime Rib cut, it's AMAZING!!!
