Given that this restaurant bills itself as ''authentic Texas barbecue,'' we have to wonder why the ribs are better than the Texas brisket? A mostly young, well-scrubbed crowd, who look as if they learned to party with the fraternity and sorority set jams into the ersatz Western setting created with plenty of cowboy memorabilia. Neither as funky or as authentic as the other barbecue outposts in town, the place lacks sizzle. The food is OK and you do get a lot of it, whether it's fajitas or jalapeno poppers. The ribs, as we said, will satisfy your hunger for smoky-flavored, slow-cooked food.

  • Best Beef Ribs by far in New England.

The pork ribs and brisket is excellent as well. The mainstream media newspapers in Boston pretty much ignore or under rate them, because they do not advertise & don't need to..... I'm a longtime patron and if the review editor wants sizzle, a little branding right across the forehead can be arranged, "Don't mess with Texas". There are hardly any Smokehouses that serve Beef Ribs, they are very hard to find. So enjoy it with Steak Fries & a Lone Star beer!

The best barbecue I've had in this city. Easily my favorite "just sit down and eat" restaurant in town.
