Lamberts Downtown Barbecue, located in the 2nd Street District of downtown Austin, features modern Texas classics in a hiply restored historic building. Not just your father's BBQ joint!
Robotmeister - 07/25/2008My wife and I had dinner at Lamberts on our anniversary (don't laugh) and once we got past the incredibly frosty blonde hostess who bypassed empty tables and seated us next to a table featuring petulant children, we had a very good dinner , but one item stood out: the macaroni & cheese side dish (again, don't laugh). We both grew up on Mom's home made macaroni & cheese but this one was fantastic, not dry and not soupy. The cheese sauce was ethereal!
