Roaring Fork is an American Western Bistro. What is American Western Cuisine? It is a combination of using foods that are indigenous to the American West, locally grown ingredients, and capturing the 'spirit' of the west. The restaurant offers a comfortable, laid back environment that includes friendly professional service and good food. A great deal of attention is paid to all the ingredients in creating the recipes and always using foods that are found in the American West, including locally grown produce. Western cuisine is not a ceremony; it's a celebration! The robust flavors and the courage to try something different is what we are all about. We would like to invite everyone to experience our 'spirit' while enjoying our food and hospitality.

Best Value in Town
The Fork's Big Assed burger is nothing short of superb. And even with Robert McGrath long gone from the restaurant, the quality continues. Don't give a second thought to the guy who complains about the burger below - the burger is now, was and always will be ONLY served in the bar area - it's Roaring Fork tradition and it works.
So what IS the big assed burger? It's 12 oz of lean fresh hamburger served anyway you like it with cheese, pickles, jalapeños if you want, lettuce, tomato, fries or coleslaw - and it is delicious.
But what makes the Roaring Fork special is the service. Caring, friendly staff that don't come back 43 times to ask you how it is while you're eating or talking to friends. Courteous staff who allow you to eat without intruding on every mouthful or hovering when your glass is nearly empty to rack up that bill.
It's the only bar in town that I know where a woman alone can have a great meal and not be made to feel like a pariah because she is a table for one. The Roaring Fork is a great deal for a great deal of reasons. These are but two of them.Add CommentBig-Ass Burger Hype

We dined at the Roaring Fork in Scottsdale on Feb. 24. I had read all the great reviews of this restaurant and their "Big-Ass Burger" and how it ranked in the top ten best burgers in Phoenix. Well, let me tell you, this is all a bunch of HYPE! First of all, to even be able to eat this burger, you are not able to eat at a table as you would if you had a normal lunch or dinner, as they only serve it at their bar. I don't see what all the fuss is about. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but I have eaten several burgers in Phoenix and they were much better than the "Big-Ass Burger." Don't waste your time at the Roaring Fork if you're going there for a burger. I think the poll on AOL for the best burgers in Phoenix is fixed. The restaurants I would recommend in Phoenix and Scottsdale that have great food as well as the best burgers I've had are: THE YARD HOUSE at Fashion Square Mall (7014 E. Camelback Rd. in Scottsdale) and Desert Ridge Marketplace (21001 Tatum Blvd. in Phoenix); & THE WHITE CHOCOLATE GRILL near West World and the TPC on Scottsdale Rd. at the 101 (7000 E. Mayo Blvd. in Phoenix). You will want to dine at both of these restaurants if you haven't yet. Cheers!

Your Burger Lovin' Fat Man.Best deal in town!

The happy hour menu in the bar is the best deal in town. The food is wonderful (both dining room and bar). The service is even better! We were celebrating my elder daughter's 22nd birthday. The waiter picked up on it and brought her a complimentary desert, complete with candle (and NO singing)!
The atmosphere is lovely. Can't think of any downside to this place.
