The fondue that melts in the Melting Pot's pots is an experience to be shared, to be kept in mind for a special occasion. The Melting Pot has restored the lost art of dipping bread, vegetables and meat into hot and spicy cooking oils and cheeses. It's a fun way to eat all the sinfully rich food you can hold. Most people think of fondue as a thick cheese sauce for dipping bread. That's how it started out -- the Swiss inventing it as a clever and tasty way of salvaging hardened cheese. But the Melting Pot takes it to a whole new level -- four fondue cooking styles, lots of enticing sauces and a variety of tasty entrees. The grand finale is dessert -- fresh fruits, marshmallows and brownies to dip into your choice of rich, creamy chocolate fondues. It has all the elements for a romantic evening, including a great selection of fine wines, attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Got to be kidding
Since when was dipping food into hot runny tasteless broth an art ? you must live in a cave. The food was terrible and quantity was very small. You should probably eat before you go if your hungry. The service was poor had to keep asking for a drink. Fresh fruit well some sour apple and other items that weren't ripe dipped in tasteless cheese. This guy writing the review before me must be the manager trying to keep what little first time business they might get. I sure they donât get repeat customers. When there opening line was well this will be an experience ? Look out !!! An experience I never want again. Boiled tenderloin - NO THANKS.
1 star for being openAdd CommentBoiled Tenderloin??
Ugh, what an expensive and weird place. It never occurred to me that I would have to cook my own meal. This concept of skewering raw meat at your table and then cooking it yourself......shesh. What next?! All the meats tasted the same after boiling in this broth ( I mean really, when was the last time your boiled your steak?) and my hungry family just started to throw everything into the pot at once, potatoes, veggies and raw meat hoping it would cook sooner. To top it off, its expensive. Sixty two bucks for two without dessert. They got a lot of cheek charging that price. Go for dessert if it intrigues you. Otherwise, stay home and make soup the old fashioned way.
.
My favorite restaurant in the world, love it, love it, but save your money, it is very expensive.
Over the top service
First time to visit the Melting Pot while visiting my daughter and family in Charlotte, NC. What a delightful experience! The service could not have been improved. The food was fresh and fun to eat. I am hoping they are servicing on Thanksgiving Day. Living alone in Phoenix, with no family, I always pick something that delights me to do for the holidays. I can't think of another place I would like to spend dinner - indulging my eating and drinking pleasures. Alone or with friends this is a great concept resturant to experience if you like selecting and cooking your own food.
love this place
My boyfriend and I went to the Melting Pot for the first time last week and I am in love. We had the most amazing dining experience. Every aspect of our meal was well executed, and the dessert was AMAZING. We did have to call ahead for a reservation  even on a Tuesday. As a wine lover we found the wine list to be very extensive and included a few special find selections, we are looking forward to a return visit hen we are going to attend one of the monthly wine dinners. Go and enjoy!
Horrible service.

The food was good but very small portions. Not too impressed by the atmosphere. We had absolutely horrible service. The server was pretty much only around to give us our check. Would never go again. Over priced for small portions.
Babies do not belong

The food was wonderful but half way through the meal a family with a baby were seated next to use. His crying ruined the evening.
cheese whiz

First-time visitors to the Melting Pot (reservations strongly recommended) should arrive as lucid and alert as possible. You will need your wits about you as you follow your host through the Melting Pot maze to the little enclave where your dinner will be served. Then again, concentration is required when your server explains your menu to you. For vegetarians, however, the decision will be much easier because there is only one vegetarian entree, not including the cheese options. The vegetarian plate includes ravioli and assorted raw vegetables such as potato, broccoli, mushrooms and yellow squash, which are then cooked to perfection in your choice of three liquids (I recommend the vegetable broth). A variety of sauces are served to spruce up the cooked veggies.
Don't miss out on the cheese fondues. I have tried all four and found them all excellent. The fiesta fondue is zippier than the others, with bits of chili peppers, and is served with tortilla chips as well as vegetables such as carrot, cauliflower and celery. The other three are plain cheeses and served with chunks of bread and raw veggies.
The chocolate fondue desserts are wonderful, if you save room for them. Strawberries, cheesecake and pineapple dipped in melted chocolate top off a meal pretty well, if you ask me.
One note to vegetarians: If you go to this restaurant with meat-eaters, you will probably be cooking your food in the same pot as they. If this sort of cross-contamination bothers you, request a table with two burners.
Also, the Melting Pot experience is lengthy. Allow at least two hours to enjoy it!
