If you're craving traditional Chinese dishes from a darkly lit hole-in-the-wall with paper lanterns and food in waxy boxes, don't go to Flo's. She's got a whole new take on Chinese food which has proven to be quite popular. No matter what day of the week you show up, you're probably in for a wait. But for your patience, you're rewarded with some innovative dishes that don't sacrifice flavor for nouveau cuisine novelty. By giving old familiar standards a new twist (fried won-tons and dipping sauce are "chips and salsa" here), Flo's has generated renewed excitement about what was once just quick and easy takeout. Entrees include an imaginative variety of shrimp, beef and chicken dishes. Make sure to leave room for more than just fortune cookies; it may not be typical Chinese fare, but the chocolate cheesecake is well received by the many fans of this Scottsdale favorite.

I love Flo's Food Market at DC Ranch. The food comes out hot and fast. Unlike Sharlyn131 review, I love my food coming out fast and hot. You don't have to wait a 1/2 hour for your order like a lot of places. I've tried just about everything on the menu and haven't found fault with anything. Everything is delicious. I highly recommend this Flo's.

I have to agree with CEdgar2314.. FLO's is far superior for my tastebuds than any form of PF Changs dishes...Ive tried to like Pei Wei's and PF Changs but "grease" was more prominent than flavor. I think Flo has some wonderful combinations in her specials as well as her main menu items. I do both takeout and dine in in her new location at FLW and Thompson Peak. A beutiful newly designed restaurant with alot of ambience and interest...goes well with the menu!!!! You Go FLO!!!

There is MSG in the seasame, lemon lime & orange chicken for sure. The food comes out in 2 minutes so don't give your order to the pushy waiter if you don't want to be home in 20 minutes. The lettuce wraps smell & are not even close to Chang's. The food is salty & oily. D.C. Ranch location..don't waste the car ride.

3 1/2 Stars. I believe Flo's to be a solid place for a tasty Americanized, Chinese meal with a few creative twists. Everyone talks about how loud it is; True, acoustically during prime time dinner it gets a little loud but it's the rustle and bustle of a combination of Flo catering to the family scene (often w/little kids, some crying for their moo shu I think) as well as the dating and singles scene. And the new space accommodates this so much better than the old one across the street! (True, sometimes it's like how many people can fit in a Volkswagen, especially at the hostess center, that could have been designed better.) The new space offers a much better bar and larger tables and makes it easier for the servers and keeps their frustrations lower and their service better. I find the food fairly consistant. I usually eat there alone or take out. When I sit at the bar and eat it's a pleasent social scene where people are not afraid to chat with each other and share opinions on the food and life stories. The sizzling rice soup in particular is about the best in town but watch when you take it out! unless they change the container it will melt the plastic! Their specials are always reliable. If it's a casual Chinese meal you want where you don't have to wait long and you want good food, Flo's is a recomendable place to chow! DezertEnergy@aol say's grab your chop sticks!

Good food and good atmosphere. The Food is not "authentic", but it does the job.
