For those wondering what would become of the old Shoney's building on Saint Charles Avenue, it's gone artfully Japanese. The breakfast bar? Ancient history. In its place is a sleek, welcoming combination hibachi and sushi restaurant. Sit around one of the hibachi stations and watch the chef work his magic, or have a seat at the sushi bar. Whatever you do, don't forget to order the grilled salmon appetizer stuffed with snow crab and drizzled with spicy sauce. Best bet?
