Everything about Lemongrass is balanced just so; from the soothing colors on the walls; to the tastefully decorated, rotating display of art; to the seafood-intensive, Asian-fusion menu. (Most entrees can be prepared vegetarian or spicy.) Seafood basil, a favorite, is a symmetry of orange roughy, mussels, shrimp and scallops mixed with a sweet-spicy chili sauce. Preparation ranges from straightforward grilled salmon or shrimp to the more ornate shitake seafood ravioli, which comes stuffed with cream cheese and spinach. The titular Southeast Asian herb flavors much of the menu: traces of Lemongrass linger in the monsoon shrimp as well as in soups and salads. In a pleasant departure from other Oriental eateries, linguine and angel hair pasta appear next to the usual rice options. Along with formerly air-breathing entrees like zucchini chicken and satay steak with peanut sauce, a large selection of sushi brings a splendid (you guessed it) balance to the menu. Just the place to find a yin for your yang. -- Sandra Gurvis

Lemongrass is an Asian fusion restaurant with Thai influences, along with sushi dishes and martini cocktails, such as Lemongrass roll (Recommended), pan-seared veggie dumplings, champagne shitake duck (Recommended), monsoon shrimp and Zen martini (Recommended).

The quality of the meals have been decreasing in recent years, but their sushi dishes are still great. Be aware that the prices are not that cheap though...

Being from Dallas and being half Thai, I found this restaurant overly rated. The problem with many multi-asian cuisine restaurants is that the food never really tastes like it should from the region it is representing. I had ordered Pad-Thai, which is an American favorite. It just didn't have the rich flavor that Pad-Thai is suppose to have. I also ordered Thai iced tea...horrible. It had a slight flavor of the real thing. I actually sent it back, which I hardly ever do. For a starter I ordered a cup of Miso soup. It was waaaay too salty. I couldn't even finish it, but I didn't sent it back. Other things ordered were the Crab Stuffed Portabella with rice. The meal was very bland and not special and the rice was horrible. I expected either Jasmine rice or regular steamed chinese rice. The rice tasted like the white rice you get at Luby's Cafeteria. I was really surprised because I could see that Asians were in charge of cooking and preparing our meals. The best thing about this place was the design and atmosphere of the restaurant. I don't understand how this restaurant got such good ratings.

The BEST restaurant in the Shorth North by far! Great food, excellent atmosphere, and wonderful owners-Char & Pete. They even love it when the local star drag queen shows up!
