Hunan Coventry
We've been eating here for 25 years and I think it is the best in the USA. Not your average "Chinese" eatery. Delicious dishes from the Hunan family starts with Scallion pancakes or saucy Mussels, great soups and then onto Gen.Chow Chicken, Paradise Beef, Special fried Noodles, fantastic green beans, Buddah's Delight (Vegetarian), Sweet and Sour Shrimp, and the sauces are not to be believed. Prices are within anyone's pocketbook. "TC" handles the kitchen and what a great chef he is. Do yourself a real favor, try this one out.

I can't tell you how the food tastes, as I've never had the food. Tried to eat there at the sushi bar. Apparently, this is the only sushi bar I've heard of that you can't talk to the sushi chefs. The sushi selection was basic at best and the waiter looked at us like we were crazy when we asked about Toro (for sushi noobs- that's a special cut of tuna that's fatty and especially yummy). The non sushi selection was out right pathetic- salad wedges, steak, and chicken breast? I can get that at one of those "upscale diner" chains (applebee's, ruby tuesday's, or the like). Our waiter wasn't around enough to even talk to him so we just left.
Pacific East in Coventry or Young's Sushi in Willoughby are much better. Better selection, and more knowledgeable, better people.Get Real
Cleveland would be dead last if you had a "Best Cities for Sushi" contest. Only Pittspuke would be in the competition for worst.
We have about 50 sushi bars here in Scottsdale, all with better food, better service, better atmosphere, better attitude, better price, better booze, better ladies, better, better, better. Sushi in CLE is a joke.
I do miss Yours Truly for breakfast, Tom Hamilton on the Indians radio broadcast, Sunoco 94, and my veterinarian, Nancy Disbrow.
