Mouthwatering garlic-lemongrass based Tom Yum Guey soup, delicious Asian breakfast, and spring rolls made with just the slightest touch of mint leaf are all rare or unique in Austin, but help comprise this impressively long menu list. Filling but vegetable-laden, the portions are healthy in every way, and reasonably priced at around $6-$9 a meal. The Noodles House offers at least a couple of Asian beers for the university- area crowd and the shockingly sweet Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee (curiously similar-tasting) make dieters happy to compromise dessert. With an utterly casual feel and outdoor patio, this restaurant makes for a perfect low-key date. -- Kimberly Morgan

My sister goes to UT and knows just about every restaurant on campus. My family and I usually go down to Madam Mam's but when my sister coaxed us into going to Thai Noodle House, we were so happy! The people are nice, the atmosphere (especially if you sit outside) is great, the food is awesome, and the prices are low. Don't forget to try the Thai iced coffee!
